Ingredients
2 oranges, segmented and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
3 grapefruits, segmented and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
8 mint leaves, slivered
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions
Carefully peel the oranges and grapefruits, removing all white pith. Working over a bowl to catch juices, segment the fruit by cutting between the membranes, then chop each segment into roughly 1/2-inch pieces.
Pour the chopped citrus and any captured juices into a large serving bowl.
Gently tear or cut the mint leaves into thin slivers and add to the citrus.
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the salad and toss gently until the sugar is evenly distributed and begins to dissolve into the natural citrus juices.
Allow the salad to rest for 5 to 10 minutes to let the flavors meld, then serve chilled or at room temperature.
