Ingredients

1 tablespoon canola oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

6 ounces fresh sugar snap peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

Sea salt, to taste

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Pour the canola oil into a large skillet and place over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the red pepper flakes and let them toast for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. Add the sugar snap peas to the skillet and toss constantly to coat them evenly with the spiced oil. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the peas are bright green and tender-crisp.

  3. Stir in the minced garlic and minced ginger, cooking continuously for approximately 45 seconds until the aromatics become fragrant and release their flavors into the oil.

  4. Season generously with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to your taste. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy warm.
