Ingredients
4 bananas
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups vanilla ice cream
Directions
Preheat your grill to low heat. Peel the bananas and cut each one in half lengthwise, then cut those halves in half widthwise to create 4 pieces per banana.
Brush the banana pieces lightly with lemon juice.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing until evenly blended.
Roll each banana piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating all sides generously.
Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking. Arrange the coated banana pieces directly on the grate.
Grill for 3 minutes on the first side, then carefully flip and grill for another 3 minutes on the second side, until caramelized and tender.
Transfer the grilled bananas to a serving dish. Top with vanilla ice cream and serve immediately while still warm.
