Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 shallot, minced
1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 cup frozen peas, or fresh if available
1 tablespoon honey
Directions
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until it is foaming and fragrant.
Add the minced shallot to the pan and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes soft, translucent, and fragrant.
Add the asparagus pieces to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes until the asparagus is tender and develops light golden-brown spots on the outside.
Stir in the peas and continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes until the peas are heated through and tender.
Drizzle the honey over the vegetables and stir gently to combine until everything is evenly coated. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Serve immediately while warm.
