Ingredients

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

2/3 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons margarine

1 1/2 cups pecan halves

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Combine brown sugar, heavy cream, margarine, pecan halves, and salt in a large microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Microwave the mixture on high power for 9 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking.

  3. Remove from microwave and stir in vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

  4. Working quickly, drop small spoonfuls of the warm mixture onto parchment paper or a silicone mat, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

  5. Allow pralines to cool and set at room temperature for approximately 4 hours before serving or storing.
