Ingredients

2 cups All purpose flour

1 teaspoon Baking powder

1 teaspoon Salt

1 cup Butter, melted

1½ cups Brown sugar

½ cup Granulated sugar

2 Eggs

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

2 cups Chocolate chips

¼ cup Colored sprinkles

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray and set it aside. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set this dry mixture aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is well combined and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add the vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until just incorporated. Then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition and scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

  4. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Continue to scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure no flour pockets remain. Do not overmix.

  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and three-quarters of the colored sprinkles using a spatula or wooden spoon, being careful to maintain the batter's texture.

  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. Sprinkle the remaining colored sprinkles evenly across the top of the batter.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs attached. Do not overbake.

  9. Remove the blondies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan before cutting into individual pieces. This cooling time ensures clean cuts and prevents the bars from falling apart.
