Ingredients

2 tablespoons ground coffee

4 ounces water

Directions

  1. Heat the water to just below boiling, approximately 200°F (93°C).

  2. Place the ground coffee into a Vietnamese phin (coffee filter) or pour-over dripper.

  3. Pour a small amount of the hot water over the coffee grounds to bloom them for about 30 seconds, allowing the coffee to release its full flavor.

  4. Slowly pour the remaining hot water over the coffee grounds in a steady stream, allowing it to drip through gradually.

  5. Let the water continue to drip through the coffee grounds for 5-6 minutes until all the liquid has passed through.

  6. Divide the brewed coffee between two cups and serve hot.
