Ingredients

½ cup Popcorn kernels, popped

4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted

2 packets Instant miso soup mix packets

5 sheets Seasoned nori snack sheets, crumbled

to taste Kosher salt

Directions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using your preferred method (stovetop, air popper, or microwave) until kernels stop popping at 1–2 second intervals. You should have approximately 8 cups of popped popcorn. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.

  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave.

  3. Crush the two instant miso soup mix packets between your fingers directly into the melted butter, stirring well to dissolve the powder evenly and release the miso flavors.

  4. Crumble the seasoned nori sheets into small, bite-sized pieces and set aside.

  5. Drizzle the miso-infused butter over the popped popcorn while gently tossing to coat every piece evenly.

  6. Sprinkle the crumbled nori over the buttered popcorn and toss again until the nori is distributed throughout.

  7. Taste the popcorn and adjust salt as needed, adding kosher salt a pinch at a time. Serve immediately while still warm and crispy.
