Ingredients

4 frozen turkey burgers

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 soft sesame hamburger buns

4 to 6 tablespoons prepared ranch dressing

Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for topping

Ketchup, mustard, relish, and barbecue sauce as desired

Directions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat, arranging charcoal in one even layer if using a charcoal grill.

  2. Place the frozen turkey burgers on the hot grill and cover. Cook for approximately 6 minutes, then flip the burgers.

  3. Cook the flipped burgers for another 4 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

  4. Remove the grill cover and place one slice of sharp cheddar cheese on top of each burger. Continue cooking uncovered for about 2 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.

  5. Optional: Place the sesame hamburger buns on the grill to lightly toast them, about 1–2 minutes.

  6. Spread a generous amount of ranch dressing on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

  7. Place a cheeseburger on each ranch-dressed bun and top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and any additional condiments such as ketchup, mustard, relish, or barbecue sauce.

  8. Serve the burgers immediately while warm and the cheese is still melted.
