Ingredients
10 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup honey
8 cloves minced garlic
1 cup chicken broth
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large oven-safe skillet or baking pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
While the oil heats, pat the chicken thighs dry and season them generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the seasoned chicken thighs in the skillet in a single layer. Sear for 4 to 5 minutes until the bottoms are deeply browned, working in batches if needed to avoid crowding.
While the chicken sears, whisk together the vegetable oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and chicken broth in a small bowl until well combined.
Flip each chicken thigh carefully, then pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over all the pieces, making sure each thigh is coated.
Transfer the skillet to the center rack of the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the meat, and the sauce has reduced and caramelized slightly.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon the pan sauce over the chicken as you plate.
