Ingredients

2 fillets (6-8 oz each) Two 6- to 8-ounce skin-on salmon fillets, about 1¼ to 1½ inches thick

1 tablespoon Neutral oil such as canola or olive oil for rubbing

½ teaspoon Kosher salt

½ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper

as needed Vegetable oil spray

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to help achieve crispy skin.

  3. Rub both sides of each salmon fillet lightly with the neutral oil.

  4. Season both sides of the salmon evenly with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with vegetable oil spray to prevent sticking.

  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the preheated air fryer basket, skin-side down.

  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) at the thickest part. The salmon is done when the flesh flakes easily with a fork and the skin is crispy.

  8. Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer basket and serve immediately.
