Ingredients
½ butternut squash, peeled and seeded
4 carrots, peeled
1 inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 red apples, peeled and cored
1 sweet potato, peeled
Directions
Rinse all produce thoroughly under cold running water. Peel the butternut squash, carrots, sweet potato, and apples. Remove seeds from the squash and core from the apples. Peel the ginger root as well.
Cut the prepared butternut squash, carrots, sweet potato, and apples into chunks or spears sized to fit safely into your juicer's feed chute.
Process all prepared ingredients through a cold-press or centrifugal juicer, feeding the butternut squash first, followed by carrots, then sweet potato, ginger, and finally the apples.
Pour the fresh juice into a glass or pitcher and stir in the ground cinnamon until fully dissolved and evenly distributed throughout.
Fill glasses with ice and pour the spiced juice over the ice. Serve immediately while chilled.
Comments
This juice lands squarely in Charlotte's fall wheelhouse: butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples are all reliably stocked at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Walmart, and ALDI, with zero special stops needed. The stated 10 minutes is honest if you own a juice press or quality blender, though home juicers will run longer—budget 15 if using a standard machine. At roughly $1.50 to $2.00 per serving (depending on apple and ginger prices), it's a genuine breakfast treat, not an everyday bargain. The only caveat is that fresh juice doesn't keep: drink it same-day for best nutrition and flavor.
