Ingredients

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons honey

4 large cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

1 pound raw shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined

Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Directions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the unsalted butter and let it melt completely, about 1 minute.

  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the honey and stir to combine with the butter and garlic, creating a smooth sauce. Let cook for about 30 seconds.

  4. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and crushed red pepper, tossing to coat evenly in the honey-garlic butter sauce.

  5. Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side without moving them, allowing them to develop color. Stir and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes on the other side until the shrimp reach an internal temperature of 145°F and turn opaque and pink throughout.

  6. Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp, stirring gently to combine.

  7. Transfer the shrimp and sauce to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or cilantro and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
