Ingredients
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¾ cup coconut sugar
12 ounces fresh cranberries
¼ cup honey
1 cup fresh orange juice
Zest of 1 orange
Directions
Combine the cinnamon, coconut sugar, cranberries, honey, orange juice, and orange zest in a medium stockpot. Place over medium heat and stir frequently until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 3–4 minutes.
Increase heat to bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to a gentle simmer and cook uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have softened and burst and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Pour the hot sauce into a bowl or serving vessel. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until thoroughly chilled before serving.
Serve cold. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
