Ingredients
1⅔ cups Irish whiskey
1⅔ cups strong brewed black tea, cooled
½ cup fresh clementine or orange juice
½ cup fresh lemon juice
½ cup Oleo-Saccharum (citrus-infused sugar syrup)
7 dashes Angostura bitters
1½ teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg, plus additional for garnish
Fresh lemon wheels for serving
Fresh orange wheels for serving
4 cups ice for the punch bowl
Directions
Brew strong black tea according to package directions and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
In a large bowl or punch pitcher, combine the cooled black tea, Irish whiskey, fresh clementine or orange juice, fresh lemon juice, Oleo-Saccharum, Angostura bitters, and the 1½ teaspoons of freshly grated nutmeg.
Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined and the spices are evenly distributed.
Cover the bowl or pitcher and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or up to 8 hours, to allow the flavors to meld and develop.
Strain the chilled punch through a fine-mesh strainer into a clean punch bowl to remove any sediment or spice particles.
Add the 4 cups of ice to the punch bowl and float the fresh lemon and orange wheels on the surface.
Ladle the punch into individual serving cups or glasses filled with ice, and garnish each serving with a light dusting of additional freshly grated nutmeg.
