Ingredients
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 3/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup shredded, sweetened coconut
1 cup candied pecans, chopped
1/2 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat your oven to 325°F and position a rack in the center. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk these ingredients together until well blended and smooth.
Add the rolled oats to the wet mixture and stir thoroughly to ensure every oat is evenly coated with the buttery mixture.
Spread the coated oats in a single, even layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring the mixture about halfway through the baking time, until the granola is golden brown and fragrant.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the granola to cool completely at room temperature, which will help it become crunchier as it cools.
Once cooled, stir in the shredded coconut, chopped candied pecans, and chocolate chips until everything is evenly distributed.
Store the finished granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
