Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and granulated sugar until the mixture becomes light and frothy, about 2-3 minutes. Do not add the strawberries yet. Cover and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes to chill thoroughly.

  2. Remove the chilled mixture from the refrigerator and gently whisk it again for about 1 minute to incorporate any settled ingredients.

  3. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically 20-30 minutes total.

  4. About 10 minutes before the churning cycle is complete, add the sliced fresh strawberries to the ice cream maker and continue churning until finished.

  5. Transfer the soft ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until it reaches a firm, scoopable consistency.
