Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound lean ground pork
4 cups mixed Asian vegetables (baby bok choy, snow peas, cabbage, or packaged stir-fry vegetables)
1 (9-ounce) package sesame stir-fry sauce
Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat for about 1 minute until it shimmers.
Add ground pork to the hot oil and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, for 5–6 minutes until it is completely cooked through with no pink remaining and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
Add the mixed Asian vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are tender-crisp.
Pour the sesame stir-fry sauce over the pork and vegetables, then toss everything together until well coated. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce is heated through and everything is combined.
Transfer the stir-fry to serving bowls and garnish generously with fresh chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
Comments
The vague ingredient list makes it hard to assess availability and cost, but "asian vegetables" and "stir-fry sauce" likely mean a second stop—either ALDI for specialty produce or Harris Teeter for bottled sauce, depending on your preferences. The 25-minute stated time ignores prep work: dicing vegetables and pork, and chopping cilantro will add 10–15 minutes realistically, pushing this closer to 35–40 minutes on a weeknight. A sesame stir-fry is a weeknight win once you have the ingredients and a sharp knife, and it reheats reasonably well for lunch the next day, but you'll need to know exactly what you're buying before committing to this one.
