Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 lemons, juiced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is shimmering, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to turn opaque and pink. Do not overcrowd the pan; work in batches if necessary.
Pour in the dry white wine and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for 1-2 minutes to slightly reduce.
Reduce heat to medium and cut the butter into small chunks, then add it to the skillet a few pieces at a time, stirring constantly until fully incorporated and the sauce becomes creamy and glossy.
Continue cooking until the shrimp are fully cooked through (opaque throughout with an internal temperature of 145°F), approximately 2-3 minutes total.
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the fresh parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
