Ingredients
1 cup coarsely ground coffee
2 whole cinnamon sticks, roughly chopped
4 cups filtered water
Directions
In a large airtight glass container, combine the coarsely ground coffee, chopped cinnamon sticks, and filtered water. Stir well to ensure all coffee grounds are moistened and evenly distributed throughout the water.
Seal the container tightly and place it on the counter at room temperature. Allow the mixture to steep undisturbed for at least 12 hours, though 24 hours will yield a richer, more concentrated flavor.
Once steeping is complete, slowly pour the mixture through a fine mesh coffee filter or cheesecloth into a clean container, capturing the liquid while filtering out the coffee grounds and cinnamon pieces. You may strain it twice if you prefer a clearer concentrate.
Transfer the strained coffee concentrate to a sealed container and refrigerate. The concentrate will keep for up to 2 weeks. To serve, dilute with water, ice, or your preferred beverage ratio, adjusting to taste.
