Ingredients
¾ cup Brewed coffee
½ teaspoon Freshly grated ginger
⅛ teaspoon Ground cardamom
0.06 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ cup Whole milk or preferred milk
Directions
Pour the brewed coffee into a small saucepan or pot. Add the freshly grated ginger, ground cardamom, and ground cinnamon.
Heat the spiced coffee mixture over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to distribute the spices and allow their flavors to infuse into the coffee. Do not let it boil.
Pour the milk into the saucepan and continue heating until the mixture is warm and steaming, about 1-2 minutes more.
Carefully pour the spiced coffee mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a serving cup to remove the ginger pieces and spice sediment, if desired, or pour directly if you prefer a slightly textured drink.
Serve immediately while hot and enjoy the aromatic blend of coffee and warm spices.
Comments
Every ingredient is stocked at any major Charlotte chain, and the total cost is under two dollars, driven by coffee and milk that most households have on hand already. The seven-minute time is honest: brew, warm milk, add spices. It's a single-serve drink that reheats fine or drinks well fresh, requiring no attention once you've mixed it, making it ideal for a rushed weekday morning or a weekend wind-down.
