Ingredients
4 to 5 teaspoons ground Turkish coffee
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup water
Directions
Fill a cezve (Turkish coffee pot) or small saucepan with 1 cup of cold water. Add the ground Turkish coffee and sugar to the water.
Stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients evenly.
Place the pot over medium heat and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
When the mixture rises and begins to foam (about 3-4 minutes), remove it from heat immediately.
Spoon some of the foam into each of four small coffee cups.
Return the pot to medium heat and let the coffee rise again, then remove from heat.
Pour the coffee slowly into each cup, dividing evenly, allowing the foam to distribute naturally. Serve immediately while hot.
