Ingredients
6 cups Water
1½ cups Dry lentils
2 medium Medium carrots, sliced
1 medium Medium onion, chopped
2 medium Medium celery stalks, sliced
2 Beef bouillon cubes
¼ cup Fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparing the soup.
Rinse the dry lentils under cold water and remove any debris or discolored lentils.
Add the water, rinsed lentils, sliced carrots, chopped onion, sliced celery, beef bouillon cubes, and fresh parsley to your slow cooker.
Stir well to combine all ingredients and distribute the bouillon cubes evenly throughout the liquid.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on high setting for 4 to 5 hours, until the lentils are completely tender.
Ladle the hot soup into bowls and serve immediately with crackers or crusty bread on the side.
