Ingredients
2 cups biscuit mix
2/3 cup 2% reduced fat milk
4 tablespoons melted butter
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
All-purpose flour for dusting
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before preparing.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the biscuit mix, grated Parmesan cheese, and finely chopped fresh chives.
Pour the melted butter and milk into the dry ingredients. Using a fork or your hands, gently stir the mixture until just combined. Do not overmix—the dough should come together with some visible streaks of flour remaining.
Lightly dust a work surface with all-purpose flour. Turn the dough out onto the floured surface.
Gently shape and roll the dough into a square approximately 1 inch thick.
Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 12 equal squares.
Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart to allow for even rising and browning.
Bake in the preheated 400°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown. The biscuits are done when they sound hollow when tapped on top.
