Ingredients
8 fresh or thawed frozen cherries, pitted
3 tsp agave nectar
½ tsp vanilla extract
seltzer water
ice
1 tbsp half and half cream
Directions
Add the pitted cherries, agave nectar, and vanilla extract to a 12-ounce glass. Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, gently press and twist the cherries to break them down and release their juices, creating a lightly crushed cherry base.
Pour approximately 2 inches of seltzer water into the glass and stir well to combine with the cherry mixture. Fill the glass most of the way with ice cubes, then top with additional seltzer water until the liquid reaches about an inch from the rim.
Using a long-handled spoon, gently stir the drink to distribute the cherry flavor evenly throughout.
Slowly pour the half and half cream over the top of the drink if desired, allowing it to create a creamy layer. Serve with a straw, stirring before each sip to enjoy the full flavor.
