Ingredients
2 fresh peaches
4 tablespoons chopped macadamia nuts
2 teaspoons local raw honey
Directions
Rinse the fresh peaches under cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each peach in half along the natural seam running from top to bottom. Gently twist the halves apart and remove the pit using a spoon or your fingers.
Arrange the four peach halves on a serving plate or individual plates, with the cut side facing up.
Divide the chopped macadamia nuts evenly among the four peach halves, spooning approximately 1 tablespoon into the center cavity of each half.
Drizzle the raw honey evenly over the macadamia-filled peach halves, using about ½ teaspoon per peach half. Adjust the amount to your preferred level of sweetness.
Serve immediately at room temperature or chilled, depending on your preference.
Comments
Macadamia nuts are a Charlotte specialty shop hunt—neither Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Publix, Walmart, ALDI, nor Kroger banners stock them reliably in regular rotations, so budget a trip to a specialty grocer or online order. Peaches and honey are local staples and cheap, but the macadamias drive the cost per serving to roughly $8–10, which lands this in date-night or special-occasion territory rather than weeknight repeat. The stated 45 minutes likely assumes prep is done; actual time from the counter is closer to 10 minutes unless you're poaching or roasting the peaches, which the ingredient list does not clarify. The dish does not keep—eat it same night.
