Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1½ tsp Dijon mustard
salt
fresh cracked peppercorns
¼ lb honey ham, finely chopped
4½ oz shredded Asiago cheese, divided
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Beat with an electric mixer or vigorously by hand until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy with no lumps.
Season the mixture to taste with salt and freshly cracked black peppercorns. Gently fold in the chopped ham and 4 ounces of shredded Asiago cheese until everything is evenly combined throughout.
Transfer the dip mixture into an oven-safe dish of your choice. Sprinkle the remaining Asiago cheese over the top as a garnish.
Bake in the preheated oven until the dip is heated through and golden on top. For a wide, shallow baking dish, bake for 15–17 minutes. For a narrower, deeper bowl, bake for 20–25 minutes. The dip should be hot throughout and the top should be lightly browned when ready.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers, toasted bread, or vegetable crudités.
Comments
Every ingredient is a supermarket staple at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Walmart, ALDI, or Kroger—no special trips required. The cost runs roughly $12–14 for the batch ($3–3.50 per serving), driven by the Asiago cheese and good ham; it's an appetizer or light meal, not a budget stretch. The 45 minutes is honest: it's mostly baking time once you stir everything together, so prep feels manageable on a weeknight. This is a soft, creamy dip that reheats well and suits entertaining or a casual family dinner, though it doesn't transform into something completely different the next day.
