Ingredients
1/2 (14 ounce) package candy-coated chocolate pieces
1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
1 1/2 cups chopped roasted peanuts
15 pretzel rods
1 tablespoon water
Directions
Place unwrapped caramels and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the caramel is completely smooth and warm enough for dipping.
Working with one pretzel rod at a time, dip the rod into the warm caramel, leaving about 1 inch of the end uncoated to serve as a handle. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the caramel coating evenly along the rod.
Press approximately 12 candy-coated chocolate pieces onto the caramel coating, spacing them evenly around the pretzel rod while the caramel is still sticky.
Immediately roll the coated pretzel rod in the chopped peanuts, pressing gently so they adhere to the caramel coating. Place on parchment paper or a wire rack to set and cool.
Repeat steps 2 through 4 with the remaining pretzel rods and caramel mixture until all 15 rods are coated and decorated. Allow to cool completely before serving.
