Comments
All ingredients are available at standard Charlotte chains—apricots, strawberries, and pineapple rotate in and out of season, but frozen versions work year-round at Harris Teeter, Kroger, or Walmart. Flax seed oil is the hiccup: most Food Lion and ALDI locations don't stock it, forcing a trip to Harris Teeter or Whole Foods if you don't have it at home already. The real cost driver is fresh fruit; a smoothie for four at typical prices lands around $8 to $10 total, or $2 to $2.50 per serving, which is reasonable for a drink but not a meal. Five minutes is honest—no prep tricks hidden. This is a same-day drink that doesn't reheat or keep well overnight, so commit to making it when you're ready to consume it.
