Ingredients

1½ lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp Olive oil

2 clove Garlic cloves, minced

Coarse sea salt

Ground black pepper

2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with the minced garlic. Season generously with coarse salt and ground black pepper. Toss gently to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for up to 30 minutes while you prepare to cook.

  2. Preheat your broiler to high and position the oven rack about 4 to 5 inches from the heat source.

  3. Arrange the marinated shrimp in a single layer on a broiler-safe baking sheet or shallow baking dish. Drizzle with the olive oil.

  4. Place the baking sheet under the hot broiler. Cook the shrimp for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the shrimp are bright pink and opaque throughout with an internal temperature of 145°F. Do not overcook, as shrimp become tough quickly.

  5. Remove the shrimp from the broiler. Immediately add the fresh lemon juice and toss to coat. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top and stir gently to combine.

  6. Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over each bite.
