A luxuriously creamy and naturally sweet milkshake made with soaked cashews and dried figs blended into silky perfection. The figs provide natural sweetness and a delicate texture, while cashews add richness and body. Enhanced with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence, this gluten-free treat is finished with a whisper of rose essence for an elegant floral note.

Ingredients

5 Dried figs

¼ cup Cashew nuts

Water, for soaking

1½ cups Milk

2 tablespoons Honey or sugar

1 scoop Vanilla ice cream

2 drops Rose essence

Directions

  1. Place the dried figs and cashew nuts in a small bowl. Cover them with water, ensuring they are just submerged—add only enough water so the figs and cashews are covered, not floating in excess liquid.

  2. Let the figs and cashews soak for at least 4 hours at room temperature. The longer they soak, the softer and more pliable they will become. By the end of soaking, the figs should be very plump and tender.

  3. Drain the soaked figs and cashews well. Coarsely chop the figs into smaller pieces to help them blend smoothly.

  4. Transfer the chopped figs and drained cashews to a blender. Add the milk, vanilla ice cream, honey or sugar, and rose essence (if using).

  5. Blend on high speed for 60–90 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. The figs and cashews should be fully broken down with no visible pieces remaining.

  6. Pour the milkshake into serving glasses and serve immediately while cold.
