Ingredients
3 medium sweet potatoes, about 5 inches long
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon paprika, optional
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, optional
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before beginning.
Rinse the sweet potatoes under cool running water and scrub with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt. Peel them using a vegetable peeler or sharp knife.
Cut the peeled sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick fries, aiming for uniform size so they cook evenly.
Place the cut sweet potato fries in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss until all fries are evenly coated.
Season the fries with salt and pepper to your taste. Add paprika and garlic powder if desired, and toss again to distribute seasonings evenly.
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not crowded.
Bake at 425°F for about 20 minutes, stirring or flipping the fries halfway through cooking, until they are tender when pierced with a fork and golden brown on the edges.
