This is a summer drink that hits the mark for Charlotte's warm months, with blueberries readily available at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Walmart year-round, and fresh mint a reliable find at any major grocery. The time claim holds up—ten minutes is honest for muddling berries, mint, and sugar, then adding soda water and lemonade mix, though you'll want to budget an extra minute if you're juicing fresh lemon. Cost runs roughly $1.25 to $1.50 per serving depending on whether you use bottled or fresh lemon juice and whether blueberries are on sale. The main caveat is seasonality: peak blueberry season in North Carolina is May through July, and prices spike November through March, making this less budget-friendly in winter. It's a same-night refresher with no leftovers component, perfect for a hot afternoon but not a make-ahead dish.
