Ingredients
4 cups Fresh strawberries
2 teaspoons Lemon juice or lime juice
3 tablespoons Sugar
1 cup Chilled water
Directions
Rinse the strawberries thoroughly under cool running water. Remove the stems and green leafy tops, then roughly chop the berries into chunks.
Transfer the chopped strawberries to a blender along with the lemon or lime juice and sugar.
Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until the mixture reaches a smooth puree with no visible chunks.
Pour in the chilled water and blend again for 30 seconds to combine everything thoroughly.
Pour the fresh strawberry juice into a pitcher or individual serving glasses and serve immediately over ice if desired.
Comments
Strawberries are reliably available year-round at every Charlotte chain, and lemon juice, sugar, and water are cupboard staples, so no special stops needed. At roughly $1.50 to $2.00 per serving depending on strawberry season, this hits the sweet spot for a fresh, simple drink. The stated ten minutes is honest—just hull, blend or muddle, strain if you prefer, and mix. This is a same-night drink that doesn't reheat, so plan to serve it fresh, but it's ideal for a quick afternoon refresher or easy brunch addition.
