Ingredients

2 tablespoons Butter

2 Glazed yeast doughnuts

1½ cups Whole milk

½ cup Heavy cream

4 Mini cake doughnuts or doughnut holes, for garnish

Ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or espresso powder, for garnish

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Chop the two glazed yeast doughnuts into bite-sized pieces and add them to the melted butter.

  3. Stir the doughnut pieces gently for about 2–3 minutes as they soften and begin to break down into the butter, creating a paste-like mixture.

  4. Slowly pour in the whole milk, stirring continuously to incorporate and prevent lumps from forming.

  5. Add the heavy cream and stir until fully combined.

  6. Heat the soup gently to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 10–15 minutes until it reaches your desired thickness and the flavors have melded together. Do not allow it to boil.

  7. Divide the soup among four bowls.

  8. Top each bowl with pieces of mini cake doughnuts or doughnut holes.

  9. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, or espresso powder according to your preference and serve immediately.
