Ingredients

1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped

1 blood orange, peeled and segmented

4 oz 100% agave silver tequila

½ cup ice cubes

1½ cups soda water, chilled

½ oz orange liqueur (Grand Marnier or Cointreau), optional

Sea salt for rimming glasses, optional

Directions

  1. Prepare glasses by moistening the rim with a damp cloth if desired, then dip into sea salt to coat evenly. Set aside.

  2. Add the chopped mango, peeled blood orange segments, silver tequila, and ice to a blender.

  3. Blend on high speed for 45 seconds to 1 minute until the mixture reaches a smooth, slushy consistency with no large chunks remaining.

  4. Divide the blended mixture evenly between the two prepared glasses.

  5. Top each glass with chilled soda water, adding about ¾ cup per glass and stirring gently to combine.

  6. Float ¼ oz of orange liqueur on the surface of each drink if using, or serve as is.

  7. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy while cold and effervescent.
