Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4 oz each)

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons light prepared Caesar dressing

4 lettuce leaves

1 medium tomato, thinly sliced

2 whole wheat hamburger buns

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to 400°F.

  2. Season both chicken breasts evenly on both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. Place the seasoned chicken on the preheated grill and cook for 4–5 minutes on the first side without moving.

  4. Flip the chicken and grill for another 4–5 minutes on the second side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, indicating the chicken is fully cooked through.

  5. Transfer the grilled chicken to a work surface. Immediately top each chicken breast with 1 ounce of sliced fresh mozzarella and 1½ tablespoons of Caesar dressing while the chicken is still warm so the cheese begins to soften.

  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  7. Assemble each burger by placing 2 lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by a topped chicken breast, tomato slices, and the top bun.

  8. Serve the burgers immediately while warm.
