Ingredients

1 bone-in prime rib steak (about 3 pounds)

4 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

⅓ cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce

Directions

  1. Remove the bone-in prime rib steak from its packaging and place it in a large roasting pan. Allow it to rest at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes, bringing it to an even temperature throughout for consistent cooking.

  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F. Pat the rib steak dry with paper towels, then generously season all sides with the 4 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Position the steak in the roasting pan with the fat side facing upward.

  3. Roast the steak at 450°F for 30 minutes to develop a flavorful crust. Then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and continue roasting until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part (not touching bone) reaches 145°F for medium-rare, approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes longer, depending on thickness.

  4. Remove the steak from the oven, tent it loosely with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 30 minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring maximum tenderness.

  5. Brush or drizzle the A.1. Original Steak Sauce over the rested steak. Slice the meat against the grain, separating it from the bone. Arrange on a serving platter and serve immediately.
