Ingredients
2 cups Purified water
½ tsp Dried cardamom seeds, crushed
2 tsp Dried fennel seeds, crushed
1 slice Fresh ginger, sliced thin (about the size of a quarter)
4 tsp Dried chamomile
¼ tsp Ground cinnamon
¼ tsp Ground clove
Directions
Pour the purified water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
While the water heats, place the crushed cardamom seeds, crushed fennel seeds, fresh ginger slice, and dried chamomile into a clean cloth tea bag or infuser.
Once the water reaches a full boil, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Carefully place the tea bag into the hot water and cover the saucepan. Allow the mixture to steep undisturbed for approximately 30 minutes so the flavors fully infuse.
Remove and discard the tea bag.
While the infusion is still warm, stir in the ground cinnamon and ground clove until fully dissolved and blended.
Let the gripe water cool to room temperature, then pour into a clean, airtight glass container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
