Recipe GLPR5a526df83d7748
A simple and refreshing frozen fruit "ice cream" made with just bananas, strawberries, cinnamon, and vanilla. Naturally dairy-free, this delicious treat is perfect for a quick dessert or snack. Ingredients
1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
7-8 frozen strawberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 dash ground cinnamon
Directions
Freeze the banana and strawberries in advance until completely solid, at least 4 hours or overnight. When ready to prepare, remove the fruit from the freezer and allow it to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to slightly soften.
Cut the softened banana into chunks. Place the banana chunks and strawberries in a bowl together.
Sprinkle the vanilla extract and cinnamon over the fruit. Using a food mill, ricer, or similar kitchen tool, alternately push the banana chunks and strawberry pieces through, allowing the frozen fruit to be extruded into a bowl as a soft, creamy mixture. Watch as the fruit swirls through into a frozen dessert.
Transfer the frozen fruit mixture to a bowl or serving dish and serve immediately while still cold and creamy.
