Ingredients
4 pieces roasted garlic naan
olive oil nonstick cooking spray
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
8 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
½ small red onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons capers
2 teaspoons Everything Bagel Seasoning
4 soft boiled eggs (optional)
lemon wedges, for serving
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange the roasted garlic naan pieces on one or two rimmed baking sheets in a single even layer, making sure they do not overlap.
Lightly coat both sides of each naan piece with olive oil cooking spray.
Place the naan in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the naan is warm and has developed a light crispness on the edges.
While the naan bakes, combine the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped chives, chopped dill, fresh lemon juice, and coarsely ground black pepper in a small bowl. Use a fork to blend the mixture until smooth and well combined.
Remove the naan from the oven and allow it to cool for 2 minutes. Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly among the naan pieces and spread it in a thin, even layer on each one.
Arrange the thinly sliced smoked salmon over the cream cheese layer on each naan base.
Top each pizza with a portion of the sliced red onion, capers, Everything Bagel Seasoning, and additional fresh chives and dill for garnish.
If desired, place a soft boiled egg on top of each pizza.
Cut each naan pizza into slices and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
Comments
Smoked salmon pizza works well for Charlotte: naan, cream cheese, and smoked salmon are standard at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, or Walmart, though you may need to stop at one of the bigger chains for quality capers and bagel seasoning, neither stocked reliably at ALDI. The stated 20 minutes ignores prep—mincing garlic, slicing red onion, and finishing eggs requires closer to 30 minutes total, especially if the naan goes in the oven. Cost per serving lands around $6–$7 once you factor in smoked salmon ($8–$10 per package, half used here), which is reasonable for a date-night or weekend brunch but not weeknight economy. It reheats poorly; this is a same-night dish best eaten fresh.
