Ingredients
6 ounces Blackberries, rinsed
½ cup Pomegranate juice
1 cup Blueberries, rinsed
9 count Frozen strawberries
11 slices Frozen banana slices
1 cup Kefir yogurt
1 cup Ice
Directions
Place the rinsed blackberries and pomegranate juice into your blender and blend until the mixture reaches a smooth, uniform consistency.
Add the rinsed blueberries, frozen strawberries, frozen banana slices, kefir yogurt, and ice to the blender with the berry mixture.
Cover the blender and turn it on, gradually increasing the speed to the highest setting, blending until all ingredients are fully combined and the smoothie is completely smooth with no lumps.
Divide the smoothie evenly among four glasses, insert straws, and serve immediately while cold.
Comments
All ingredients are stocked year-round at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Walmart in Charlotte, though fresh berries will be cheapest in summer and cost $3-5 per pint off-season, pushing the per-serving cost to $2.50-3.50 depending on what's on sale. The five-minute claim is honest and includes no hidden prep beyond washing fruit. This feeds four as a breakfast or snack, requires no attention once blending starts, and doesn't reheat—it's a drink for immediate consumption. It's a reliable, accessible recipe that hits the Charlotte pantry well, but berries' seasonal price swings and the lack of any protein beyond kefir keep it from being a standout value.
