Ingredients
4 oz Greek yogurt
4 oz sour cream
1 clove minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and sour cream together until well blended and smooth.
Add the minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, chopped fresh dill, and sliced green onions to the yogurt mixture. Stir well to distribute the herbs evenly throughout.
Mix in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, kosher salt, and black pepper. Fold gently until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the dip is creamy and uniform.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and develop their full complexity.
Serve the chilled dip with fresh-cut vegetables such as carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers, or alongside pita chips and crackers.
Comments
This dip is almost entirely available year-round at any Charlotte grocer—Greek yogurt, sour cream, fresh herbs, and parmesan are standard stock at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Kroger, and Walmart. The real prep time is closer to 10 minutes of active work (chopping herbs and whisking), making the 45-minute stated time misleading; most of that would be chilling, which isn't hands-on. Cost per serving lands around $0.80–$1.00 driven by Greek yogurt and cheese, which is reasonable for a dip that feeds five. It reheats poorly (dairy-based, prone to breaking), but that's acceptable for an appetizer meant to be served same-night; it's also unfussy, requires no constant attention, and works for casual entertaining.
