Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 salmon fillets (3 ounces each), skinned
Fine sea salt to taste
Freshly ground white pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the salmon fillets on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer.
Divide the butter into small pieces and distribute evenly over the salmon fillets.
Season each fillet lightly with fine sea salt and freshly ground white pepper.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 10–12 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm.
Comments
Salmon and basic pantry staples are all readily available at any Charlotte grocer—Kroger and Harris Teeter have excellent seafood sections, and this dish costs roughly $12–15 for four servings, driven entirely by the salmon itself. The stated 22 minutes is honest if your oven is preheated and the fish is already thawed; prep is genuinely minimal. This is a no-fuss weeknight meal that requires no attention once it hits the oven, but leftovers are mediocre—reheated salmon turns dry and flaky, making this a same-night dish that doesn't stretch into tomorrow's lunch.
