Ingredients
1 cup Better Baking Mix
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup low-sodium tomato sauce
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, grated
All-purpose flour for dusting
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before handling food.
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 12x15-inch baking sheet or 12-inch pizza pan with oil or cooking spray.
Measure out the baking mix and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
Add the vegetable oil and water to the baking mix in the bowl.
Stir the ingredients together with a wooden spoon or fork until a soft, shaggy dough forms.
Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet or pizza pan.
Lightly dust your fingertips with flour to prevent sticking.
Using your floured fingers, gently pat and stretch the dough to form a circle approximately 11 to 12 inches in diameter, working from the center outward.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
Leave a half-inch border around the edge of the dough uncovered with sauce; this will become the crust edge.
Sprinkle the chopped onion, oregano or Italian seasoning, and grated mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the crust edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and just beginning to brown.
Remove from the oven and allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Refrigerate any leftovers within 2 hours in an airtight container.
