Ingredients

1 bottle white moscato wine

8 ounces ginger beer

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

1/4 cup melon liqueur

1 cantaloupe, balled

1 honeydew melon, balled

1/2 small watermelon, balled

1 lime, sliced, for garnish

Club soda, for finishing

Directions

  1. Pour the white moscato wine into a large pitcher. Add the ginger beer, freshly squeezed lime juice, and melon liqueur. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  2. Cut the cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon in half. Use a melon baller to scoop out round balls from each fruit. If desired, freeze some of the melon balls separately on a baking sheet to use as ice cubes when serving.

  3. Add all the fresh melon balls to the pitcher with the wine mixture. Stir gently to distribute the fruit throughout.

  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least a few hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to infuse into the sangria.

  5. To serve, pour the sangria into chilled glasses, including some melon balls in each. Top each glass with a splash of club soda for added effervescence. Garnish with a thin slice of lime on the rim or floating in the drink. Serve immediately while cold.
