Ingredients

8 slices bacon, diced

8 natural casing beef hot dogs

8 hamburger buns

1 cup baby lettuce

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 large vine ripened tomatoes, seeded and chopped

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes.

  2. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess grease.

  3. Return the skillet to medium-high heat. Working in batches if needed, add the beef hot dogs and cook for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through and lightly browned on the surface.

  4. Lightly toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or on a separate griddle for about 1 minute per side until they are warm and lightly golden.

  5. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each toasted bun.

  6. Layer fresh baby lettuce inside each bun, followed by the cooked hot dog.

  7. Top each hot dog with a portion of the chopped tomato and a generous handful of the crispy bacon.

  8. Serve immediately while the hot dogs are still warm and enjoy.
