Ingredients

1 can (10.75 oz) condensed tomato soup

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with juices

1 handful fresh basil leaves, torn

2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

½ teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. Pour the condensed tomato soup and the can of diced tomatoes with their juices into a saucepan.

  2. Stir well to combine the two tomato products.

  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 to 8 minutes until heated through.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cream or milk until fully blended.

  5. Add the torn basil leaves and stir gently to distribute throughout the soup.

  6. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and stir briefly to incorporate.

  7. Divide into bowls and serve warm.
