Ingredients
1 stalk fresh celery (or 2 stalks for more intense celery flavor)
1 large pinch fresh cilantro leaves
2 ounces simple syrup
½ lime Juice from 1/2 fresh lime
3 ounces vodka
Fresh ice cubes
1 splash Splash of club soda (approximately 1 ounce)
Directions
Cut the celery into small pieces and place in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Add the cilantro leaves, simple syrup, and fresh lime juice.
Gently muddle the celery and cilantro to release their flavors into the syrup and lime juice, being careful not to over-crush the ingredients.
Fill the shaker or mixing glass with fresh ice and pour in the vodka. Stir vigorously or shake for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and combined.
Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with a splash of club soda to add bubbles and refresh the drink. Stir gently to combine.
Serve immediately and enjoy your herbaceous, refreshing Green Goddess Cocktail.
Comments
Every ingredient is stocked at every major Charlotte grocer—celery and cilantro are standard produce, simple syrup and lime juice are pantry staples, vodka is at any liquor store, and club soda is everywhere. The stated five minutes is accurate; it's just muddling, pouring, and stirring. The real drawback is that this makes one cocktail, so for a family meal plan it's impractical unless you're doubling it six times, and it doesn't reheat or keep—it's a same-moment drink that goes flat fast.
