Ingredients
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon water
Directions
Pour the granulated sugar into a small bowl. Drizzle the water over the sugar, one drop at a time, stirring gently with a fork or small spoon until the mixture resembles damp sand with no dry granules remaining.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon or pack the damp sugar mixture into small mounds or use a small ice cube tray to shape the cubes evenly, pressing down firmly so they hold together.
Let the shaped sugar cubes air-dry uncovered at room temperature for 6 hours, or until they are completely hardened and no longer sticky to the touch.
Gently remove the sugar cubes from the parchment or mold. If any cubes are still soft, return them to air-dry for another hour. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
